Virtual Self-Care Faculty Workshop
In the wake of a pandemic and the current racial tension, we have all been confronted with sudden and drastic changes. We have learned that educators are all experiencing more stress than ever. The Faculty Self-Care Workshop is intended to provide a space that encourages connection on a real level to inspire and reinvigorate each other.
The experiential workshop provides participants a space to examine how they can apply self-care while holding the role of educator. Additionally there is a strong focus on maintaining a growth mindset, responsibly managing emotions, practicing the tool of mindfulness, and discussing the importance of a realistic self care practice for individuals and as a community.
"“My biggest thank you to all of you for graciously providing us with this workshop today! It was a great way to bring this network of women together and help us connect as humans beyond our professional lives. I really enjoyed all the mindfulness exercises and the authenticity you brought in sharing your stories. What a great experience and I hope to do more in the future!"
