The Challenge Day Board of Directors announced September 16, 2022 that Ana Rubio has been named Executive Director of the non-profit organization, effective October 1, 2022.
Rubio has served in various roles during her 15-year tenure with the organization, and she most recently held the position of Deputy Executive Director.
Challenge Day’s Board President, Victoria Gazulis remarked on Rubio’s promotion. “Ana understands deeply all aspects of Challenge Day’s operations as well as our vision, mission, and values,” said Gazulis. “In her previous role, she successfully guided the organization’s operations through the challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic and more recently launched our 35th Anniversary Fundraising Campaign. We are extremely fortunate to have such capable internal talent and I’m thrilled that as a board we recognized her skills, talent and passion for the organization.”
Ana Rubio’s leadership will grow Challenge Day’s nationwide program impact, learning and development for staff, increase community partnerships and Challenge Day’s 35th anniversary campaign. “I am honored to continue to bring compassion, hope, empathy and learning which are our core values of our programs to youth and adults across the nation,” said Rubio.
