Leaders: Bathsheba
Life Experience:
Bathsheba Tina Harambe is a native of New Orleans, Louisiana. As a child
Bathsheba was picked on and was teased about living in the projects.
Those experiences gave her a drive to teach children that, "Its not
where you are from, it's where you are going." and "Dream Achieve and
Follow through". Through her dedication to young people, she taught
school for fifteen years. She has always loved education and wanted to
model the incredible positive influence that her teachers had on her.
Bathsheba created Umoja camp with her husband and founded an African
Centered School. She started the school because she wanted African American
children to have a place to learn and be proud of their cultural
heritage. Bathsheba's mission is to inform all children they are powerful.
Bathsheba now lives in Oakland, California with her husband and three children. Bathsheba came to Challenge Day with a heart of truth to help children all over the world to remember they are important angels on a mission.
If you really knew me:
You would know that I love my children and husband.
You would know that I am prayer, seeking to "overstand" what is at the core of my consciousness.
You would know that I am answering the call to heal myself and let go of old thoughts and patterns that no longer serve me.
You would know that I am getting to know me.
You would know I have great friends, I love music and food.
You would know that I love working with diverse groups of young people and I believe all children, regardless of skin color or gender or income are the same.
You would know that I love being a Challenge Day Leader and seeing all of the miracles.
