Challenge Days in the Netherlands

Challenge Days in the Netherlands are coordinated through the Day of Change Foundation.

Day of Change is an initiative in response to the first Challenge Day held in the Netherlands. In 2010, the program was held in IJburg College in Amsterdam. It was made into a documentary by Jessica Villerius of Posh Productions, and in 2011 was followed by the Dutch Public TV KRO series “Over de Streep" with youth celebrity Arie Boomsma as the host.

In response to all the positive feedback and enthusiastic responses the filmmakers received, in consultation with Challenge Day, an organization was formed to provide this valuable program to teens in Dutch schools. The Day of Change Foundation is located in Amsterdam and operates with the Challenge Day vision that every child lives in a world where they feel safe, loved and celebrated.

Day of Change is the first international partner of Challenge Day and the only foundation in the Netherlands that offers the official Challenge Day program at Dutch schools.
