Evert Villaseñor

Evert was born and raised in Menlo Park, California. He was raised by his loving Mother and Grandmother. After graduating high school, he started developing a passion for social awareness and youth development. After earning his B.A. from San Francisco State University in Speech Communication in 2006, Evert traveled several countries in Latin America.

Upon returning, he worked with youth throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. He has worked for the World Affairs Council of Northern California and educated youth on International Relations and Politics. He also worked for the Institute for Scientific Analysis where he administered in-depth interviews with gang members in the San Francisco and Oakland areas.

• • I used to be an incredibly shy person.
• • Two of the people I look up to the most are my mother and grandmother.
• • I love to remind people to laugh and not take life so seriously.
• • I love comedy!! One of my other passions is standup comedy and I do hit the stage when I can find the time.
• • I believe that I am a great singer. And so far I can't find anyone that agrees with me.
• • I knew I was meant to be a Challenge Day Leader as soon as I was introduced to the organization.
• • Throughout all of my personal and professional experiences I began discovering more about myself - and continue to realize the power I have within me.
• • I have a passion for helping youth come to this realization earlier than I so they can live healthier lives.
